Project Description
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) specified the use of Surface-EXT in this Thin Lay Micro Surfacing Project in Manchester Township. This implementation of pavement preservation is a PennDOT fiber vs control trial project with the fiber section running from the traffic signal to Rutter’s Market and the control section running from Rutters Market to the traffic signal. Pennsylvania State University will be monitoring, as well as, performing all lab testing. The use of Surface-EXT aims to reduce cracking and raveling in the pavement.
