Description
The county had shoving, rutting, and cracking issues at two locations. The project owner wanted to assess the efficiency of the fibers in order to determine whether fibers would be used on future projects. They chose one location to begin the work. When the fibers were added at the plant, the plant manager stated how easy it was to add despite it being his first time running a mix with FORTA-FI®. While at the jobsite, the contractor stated how much easier the fiber was to work with compared to other mixes. The edge of the road showed almost no spreading as the roller passed over which allowed for better compaction. This also meant that the thickness was consistent across the whole mat.
