French Creek Road – LeBoeuf Township, PA

LeBoeuf Township, PA - June 2018

Project Description

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) used Pave-Aid, a polyamide FORTA fiber blend, to reinforce a 100% Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP) road in LeBoeuf Township, Erie County. For this project, a cold mix, direct overlay was constructed using the Voyager Fiber Feeder. By adding Pave-Aid to the asphalt, they are expecting to see a reduction in cracking and rutting.

Update

After 5 years, this 100% RAP roadway has benefitted from the reinforcement of Pave-Aid and is showing minimal pavement distress.
