Description
This was the City of Beaverton’s first trial project with FORTA-FI® and they wanted to put it to the test on the difficult project of resurfacing Hocken Road. This is a busy artery next to one of the main commercial malls in the city, and it has historically had significant cracking and rutting issues. This was a 4” mill & fill because of the severity of the pavement distresses. The production, placement and compaction of the FORTAfied® asphalt went very well, with the city now specifying FORTA-FI® on many of their future overlay projects.
Key Points
- Extended Pavement Life
- Reduced Rutting & Raveling
