Rawlins Airport Runway – Rawlins, WY

Rawlins, WY - 2015

Project Description

FORTA-FI reinforcement fiber was used to save upfront costs on this Wyoming runway project. Due to severe thermal cracks, Sage Civil Engineering designed a pavement section utilizing a Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) layer. This 2” FORTA-FI reinforced asphalt (FRAC) overlay was chosen over other options for its cost savings benefits and for enhanced resistance to thermal cracking. The Rawlins Airport will stay maintenance free and Stronger Lasting™ for many years to come.
