Project Description

A large distribution center in Henderson, NC replaced their parking lot with FORTA-FI reinforced asphalt pavement. This job was a full depth replacement in the trailer parking areas and required3,850 lb of fiber for completion. FORTA-FI was chosen to reduce overall costs by reducing the thickness of the asphalt, and the additional reinforcement provided by the fibers is expected to extend the pavement life. Using FORTA-FI will also reduce rutting and cracking despite the high-volume traffic this parkinglot will endure.
