Description
FORTA-FI® was used in a 1.5” porous friction course on this runway rehabilitation project to reduce cracking and raveling caused by weather extremes and snow plowing. While FORTA-FI® was specified due to its ability to increase the tensile qualities of this asphalt design; it also eliminated the drain down in this AC rich mix of 5.6%.
