Description
As in years past, Pine Township in western Pennsylvania has elected to use FORTA-FI® in their paving program. This year they used almost 5,000 tons of FORTAfied® asphalt on streets throughout the township. They milled 3 1/2” of existing pavement and replaced 2 1/2” of 19mm binder followed by 1 1/2” of a 9.5mm fiber reinforced wearing course. The goal is to extend the life of the pavements and get more stability out of their roads.
