The Pennsylvania State Police Barracks’ parking lot in Butler, PA  was in need of an overlay to replace existing deteriorating asphalt pavement outside of their main building.

The Arby’s restaurant in Altoona, PA recently underwent a full reconstruction, including a new parking lot. The previous lot showed significant cracking and settling. To extend the life of this replaced lot, New Enterprise Stone and Lime produced and placed 165 tons of HMA in a 1 ½” wearing course.

The original project was a simple resurfacing of a badly cracked and rutted parking lot. As the contractor began repairing the most severe areas, it became obvious that the sub base was very poor and would require total replacement, which wasn’t budgeted.

An Advance Auto Parts was built in Hanover, PA in the summer of 2014. FORTA-FI® were added to the 1 1/2” wearing course to extend the life of the pavement and control reflective cracking.

The City of Delaware, OH encourages sustainability and environmental stewardship. Their Public Works Department recycles previously used asphalt by reheating it, and then using the reclaimed material for patching and pothole repairs. FORTA-FI® was added to this recycled material mix to provide additional fiber-reinforced strength and durability to a deep-patch street rehabilitation project.
